Interesting move reported by this source as Harry looks to the Merseyside outfit for an out of sorts attacker.
However, Spurs are lining up Liverpool’s Ryan Babel as an alternative if they can’t do business with Boro.
Liverpool could take around £7m to £8m for Babel and Redknapp will soon have to decide whether to give up on his first target and move on to his first alternative. (Daily Mirror)
Ryan Babel apparently was very interested in a loan move to Ajax but Rafa didn’t see the value in letting his young Dutch winger making such a move and quite rightly turned down the deal. The 21 year old has been a little out of sorts of late and has been a little flustered by the lack of first team starts and has apparently spoken out about his frustration but the youngster really just needs to knuckle down and get on with it. Benitez knows how best to use the kid and given that his side sits top then clearly he knows what he is doing. If Spurs did make a move then I am sure that the Spaniard would tell them to not bother! Do Liverpool fans think that Ryan can make it at Anfield?
