This under fire Tottenham man has been in good form of late but it is too little too late?
That’s the claim being made in Holland by leading magazine Sportweek.
Gomes, who joined Spurs last summer in a £7.8million deal, made a surprise visit to Holland two weeks ago when he was given three days leave from White Hart Lane.
He visited his teammates at PSV Eindhoven and is alleged to have told people there that he wants to move back.
He informed his old club that he finds it difficult to settle in London and feels constantly under pressure.
At PSV Eindhoven Gomes won four league championships and was acclaimed as a hero. (Daily Mirror)
Whilst Gomes had a fairly long spell of poor form in recent weeks he has looked far more composed and the Brazilian pulled off some smart saves against Man United on Saturday, however in saying that Redknapp still doesn’t look 100% convinced so if Heurelho did want to leave and an offer of value came in I think the club would probably take the cash and re-invest it in another custodian. A return to PSV could be a possibility, especially when you consider Isaksson hasn’t exactly shone as replacement for the Spurs number one and the Eindhoven clubs, who have won the Eredivisie four years on the trot are currently 4th and nine points adrift of Ajax at the top of the table. Do Tottenham fans think that Harry would cut his losses and let their keeper leave if he indeed did want to leave?
