Leeds United have parted company with manager Gary McAllister.
The club made the decision following a run of five successive defeats which has seen Leeds slip to ninth in League One, five points off the play-offs.
“The decision was made to ensure that the new manager has the maximum number of games possible to move the club up the table,” read a statement.

Five straight defeats have seemingly cost the Elland Road boss his job, but is this announcement the last thing the club needs or was it about time for a change? After taking the club to the play off final last season all seemed to be going swimmingly this season until an alarming series of results, including the embarrassment of being knocked out of the FA Cup by minnows Histon have left the club ninth and a fair distance off the automatic promotion places. So what do the long suffering loyal fans of Leeds United think of the decision and who do they want to see replace their former playing legend at the club?
