The limitless pot of cash available to the City boss appears to be about to be used in an attempt to finance another big money move!
Bayern Munich wing ace Franck Ribery will attract a major bid from Manchester City next month.
It emerged last week that Ribery’s minders were keen to listen City over what they were prepared to offer the Frenchman.
And the Daily Star Sunday says City boss Mark Hughes has Ribery top of his January shopping list. (tribalfootball.com)
Mark Hughes must fear for his job at Eastlands after his side slipped to another defeat on the weekend. He got the dreaded vote of confidence in today’s press and if the mega rich board is wise they will not act so swiftly as the former Blackburn boss is one of the best in the business. If the club can attract the caliber of player as Ribery then they will surely see a change in fortunes however I would severely doubt such a deal could get done with the club currently in the drop zone. There appears to be some dressing room unrest at the club also and that too could count against any potential new signing who would be unlikely to be keen to sign for one manager only to find a replacement calling the shots months later. Do Man City fans fear the club could get relegated?
