Tottenham are considering a move for this talented, if flawed, young star.
Liverpool winger Ryan Babel is a target for Tottenham.
Spurs boss Harry Redknapp is ready to bid for the Dutchman if his final ‘take-it-or-leave-it’ £12 million offer for Stewart Downing is rejected by Middlesbrough, says the Mirror. (tribalfootball.com)
Ryan Babel is a player with a massive amount of talent but this season (and the tail end of last term) he simply hasn’t performed anything like he knows he can. Rafa will not however want to sell the Dutchman simply because he realises that the 22 year old could be a fantastic player when he hits a run of form. Harry Redknapp isn’t going to be ripped off by Boro in his pursuit of Stewart Downing and it makes good sense for him to consider a move for Ryan should he fail to snare the England man, personally I think Babel is a better player than Downing but I think Tottenham will be disappointed if they try to make a move for the Liverpool wide-man as Rafa won’t sell. Do Liverpool fans think that their number 19 will make the grade at Anfield?
