Chelsea supporters are going to be on the edge of their seat tomorrow afternoon, and it won’t be for a good reason. Chelsea boss Luiz Felipe Scolari announced that keeper Peter Cech will miss the weekend match against Hull City, and that Hilario will be in net. This should be fun!
Cech has sustained a back injury and with Carlo Cudicini joining Tottenham last month, Blues boss Luiz Felipe Scolari will put his faith in Hilario.
‘In the game against Liverpool some player kicked him (Cech) in the back,’ Scolari told Chelsea’s official website.
‘He completed the game, but after this he felt a lot of pain and it is impossible to play tomorrow and I think with the national team on Wednesday.
‘I believe in Hilario because he is a very good goalkeeper, it is not a problem for us. I have a good squad and I believe in all the players, it is not a problem.’ (Daily Mail)
Chelsea supporters had to know this was possible considering Cech recent injury issues. Hilario is one of the most inconsistent keepers in the Premier League, and as of right now Carlo Cudicini is looking mighty good based on Chelsea’s need for a victory this late in the year.
Are Chelsea supporters concerned with Hilario in net tomorrow against Hull?
