Former Liverpool striker Robbie Keane is back at Tottenham, and today he spoke to the media about his shock move back to White Hart Lane. Whilst he’s glad to be back where everybody knows his name, he’s wondering if the supporters will welcome him with open arms.
‘There was only one team I’d come back for…I know I said that when I left for Liverpool, but Tottenham is close to my heart and I’m really looking forward to putting that jersey on on Sunday.’

He went on to admit being left out of the Liverpool squad was ‘difficult to take’ as he has never been overlooked in his career before.

Keane left in a hurry and really ruffled some the feathers of many supporters when he made his “dream” move to his boyhood club. But after half a season, Keane is back playing for the one club he seemed to thrive at. Even if the goals start coming, you have to wonder how long it will take for everyone to come back around.
Do Spurs supporters still consider him a traitor for leaving? What kind of a reception will you give him this weekend when he takes the pitch?
