Could a certain Chelsea striker be on his way out the door this summer? His former club would love to make it happen, but they’d need him to take a wage cut to make it a reality. We all know this striker isn’t that charitable!
“We must talk to our supporters in adult language,” Maseilles president Pape Diouf said. “They know we do what we say, and vice versa. To say to them, ‘We are going to win the Champions League’ or ‘Drogba is going to return’, I will not allow myself to do it – that would be showing them a lack of respect.
“On the other hand, to say to them, ‘Like you, I really want Drogba to come back and if there is a possibility of doing it, I will do it’, that I can guarantee them.
“Each time I see him, I say to him, ‘Now Didier, get your bags together and come back here!”‘ (Daily Telegraph)
I think there’s a better chance of Diego Maradona returning to football than Didier Drogba playing for Marseilles next season. However, stranger things have happened in the world of football. Drogba is the type of player that needs to play on a big stage, and while the Stade Velodrome is a wonderful place to play at, it doesn’t have the same draw as say, Inter Milan.
What do Cheslea supporters think? Would you be fine watching Drogba move this summer for the right price?
