It’s been a while since we’ve seen these two paired together in a Premier League match. Both claim they can work well together on the pitch, but so far things haven’t worked out that well. Was their recent display against Watford a sign of things to come? Guus Hiddink is betting on it.
Guus Hiddink gave a clear indication yesterday of his desire to partner Nicolas Anelka with Didier Drogba as he took charge of his second training session at Chelsea (The Times)
Drogba, who hasn’t played a major role in a Premier League starting XI in some time, will get the chance to pair with Nicolas Anelka up front. Both strikers crave the ball, so it will be interesting to see how they play together in a must-win match. What do Chelsea supporters make of the move? Can Anelka and Drogba work together up front?
