Why in the world are Manchester City chasing this unattainable £50m ACE?

First it was Kaka turning down Manchester City’s audacious offer, and now it’s this £50m ace telling Sheik Mansour where he can stick his money. He doesn’t want to play for City!

City reportedly made a £50 million approach for the Valencia forward ahead of the January transfer window, but his agent, Jose Luis Tamargo, claims Villa is not interested in a move to England.

“David has rejected the chance to play in England. It would be a nonsense to negotiate with Manchester City and Chelsea aren’t interested,” he told the Mirror.

“If Valencia do decide to sell him he wants to stay in Spain.” (Daily Telegraph)

Villa’s form in Euro 2008, coupled with his recent strong form at Valencia have made him one of the most prized players on the transfer market. Whilst Chelsea, Liverpool and City have all been linked with him in the last 12 months, Villa and his agent have made it crystal clear that he only wants to play in La Liga.

Do you still expect City to make another play for him this summer? Also, will Villa ever play in the Premier League?
