A CERTAIN SOMEONE is confident of knocking Manchester United out of Europe: Who will go through?

It might have made for a marvellous Champions League final in May, but either the English or the Italian champions will be heading out of the competition at the last sixteen stage. The bookmakers make the Red Devils the slight favourites to progress to the quarter finals, although this individual is characteristically confident that his team can eliminate the holders.

The Guardian reports that Jose Mourinho has spoken ahead of Tuesday night’s massive game with Manchester United, claiming that his team will play with no fear at the San Siro and Old Trafford a fortnight later. It’s little surprise to hear the Portugeezer predicting victory for his table-topping team, especially with United suffering from a defensive crisis.

“I have told the players that they have got to go into this tie and not be afraid of the possibility of, in 15 days, Inter being out of Champions League,” Mourinho said. “We have got to go into this tie thinking that in 15 days probably we can celebrate that we have beaten the European champions.”

Inter might not have a better time to beat Manchester United on Tuesday, especially with the rock known as Nemanja Vidic missing for the English champions. Can the Inter strikeforce take advantage of a weakened Red Devils defence, or are supporters confident that Fergie’s men will be too strong for their opponents over the two legs? Two exciting matches to look forward to – what are your predictions?
