Chelsea have been growing tired of Didier Drogba’s antics over the past couple of months. With his contract set to expire without even a peep from Roman Abramovich, it’s becoming increasingly likely that the striker will get his wish to move abroad in the near future. They apparently won’t miss him as they already have a target in mind to fill his shoes!
Chelsea are lining up Vágner Love, the CSKA Moscow forward, as a potential replacement for Didier Drogba if he leaves the club this summer. The Ivory Coast striker is a target for Inter Milan and Marseilles, and Chelsea are willing to sell if they are able to recoup the £24 million they paid for him five years ago.

Love has already been linked with Everton and Manchester City, so it only seems right to see one of the most powerful clubs in the Premier League join the fray. With Drogba out of the picture, Chelsea have marked the CSKA Moscow striker as the next best thing. Plus, with the money they’re expecting to get from Inter Milan or Marseilles, Love could come out to be a bargain that could give them a serviceable striker and some extra funds for the transfer kitty.
What would Chelsea supporters think about making Love their “new Drogba” for next season?
