So that’s what these two players were doing in the Arsenal dressing room at half-time on Tuesday night!
Never mind Kolo Toure being superstitious, the Ivorian defender was merely waxing lyrical to William Gallas about how much he respects and loves his team-mate, and that he hates falling out and not speaking to each other. Setanta reports that he and William Gallas appear to be friends again after an apparent bust-up over Christmas, something which partly caused the former to hand in a transfer request.
“Everything is at the end now,” said Toure. “It is finished and in the past.
“I am delighted to be at the club, playing every week and helping the team to win games. I love Arsenal.
“I have been here for seven years, it is the club of my heart.
“William and I are used to playing together and last season we lost very few games when we were both in the team.
“We know each other really well and we are happy to play together.”
Sounds like everything is hunky-dory between the pair, one imagines that it’s pretty easy to fall out with the hot-headed Gallas! Do Arsenal supporters think that this should be the long-term central defensive pairing at the Emirates, or should Wenger recruit some quality players in this area?
