Arsenal manager claims Manchester United winger is a target due to his ARROGANCE: It’s not hard to see that!

Arsene Wenger has lashed out at Manchester United’s most arrogant winger by telling him that if he wasn’t so flamboyant he might not be such a target for rough play on the pitch! I doubt Ronaldo knows how to play football in that fashion!

The Arsenal manager, Arsène Wenger, has suggested that Cristiano Ronaldo would be fouled less often if he were less “arrogant”. Sir Alex Ferguson has claimed that opponents resort to manhandling the Manchester United winger when they can find no other way to thwart him and criticised Newcastle’s Steven Taylor for striking the Portuguese on Wednesday night, for which the FA yesterday said the defender would not face disciplinary action. Steven Taylor actions on Wednesday have allowed a number of managers to comment on the way Ronaldo plays football. Whilst he is one of the best players in the world, his arrogance and showmanship make him a massive target every time he touches the ball. Sir Alex Ferguson even chimed in and agreed with Wenger and his comments, although I’m sure he’ll do nothing about the winger’s style and brashness. It’s part of who he is! But maybe he could tone it down just a little so he could survive a whole season without getting thoroughly knocked around? Sir Alex would appreciate it!
