Liverpool supporters: Will the club find a new buyer in the next year?

Liverpool supporters may debate and disagree on everything from the starting XI to the match atmosphere inside Anfield, but there’s one thing everyone can agree on and that’s a strong hatred for George Gillett and Tom Hicks, Liverpool two American owners.

At the moment they’re currently trying to sell the club, and if Abdulla al-Sager’s comments mean anything, the sale could take a REALLY long time!

Liverpool’s American owners have priced themselves out of a sale of the club by asking for £500million, according to the Kuwaiti group who are interested in a takeover.

Abdulla Al-Sager, one of the possible investors in the consortium headed by the Al-Kharafi family, said: ‘Things are going badly because they are asking for too much. I don’t think anything will happen unless we get a better price.’ (Daily Mail)

The current price for the club in this economic market is absurd. Whilst Liverpool is an amazing brand, the owners seem to think that everyone, including the group from Kuwait, are immune to economic hardships. Surely they’ll take a look at that figure again and price the club at a reasonable price?

What do Liverpool supporters think about the whole mess? Will Hicks and Gillett sell the club in the next year?
