The Toffees players got a rocket up their backsides during half-time of Sunday’s match against Middlesbrough, with Everton coming back from 1-0 down to win 2-1. However, they haven’t got much in the way of a reward for their efforts.
The FA Cup semi-final draw pits Everton against none other than Manchester United, a team that rested Berbatov and Ronaldo for Saturday’s trip to Fulham and still managed to win 4-0. The Times reports that David Moyes is against the idea of having both last four games at Wembley, opining that this venue should be reserved for the final only.
“Semi-finals should be played at neutral grounds. We should keep the final for Wembley. It’s not exciting to me at all, unless it’s the final.”
Everton supporters, do you think that there’s any chance of making it past Manchester United? While the Toffees have one of the best defences in the Premier League, the absence of Mikel Arteta is going to hit them hard at Wembley, with the Spaniard capable of that one piece of magic that might find a way through against the Red Devils. Nevertheless, the Blues have had a couple of tight matches against Fergie’s team in the league, while this is the only piece of silverware that the Merseyside club can win. Do the supporters think they stand a chance?
