Manchester United set for HUGE £70m ATTACKER bid!

Yes Real are at it again!

Spanish press reports suggest Real Madrid have a locked in agreement with Manchester United for winger Cristiano Ronaldo.

AS says there is a ‘contract of confidentiality’ between Real Madrid, Manchester United and Ronaldo, which was signed last summer. If there is any public confirmation of the deal from any of the parties involved, United manager Sir Alex Ferguson will be allowed to rip up the agreement.

The deal involved is worth £7.5 million to Ronaldo’s agent, Jorge Mendes. Ronaldo will earn £10 million-a-year and the transfer will cost Real around £70 million.

However, while the deal is reportedly on the table, everything will be decided by the next Real president. (tribalfootball.com)

This is indeed huge, but is there any truth to it? I think not. This is probably another example of Real Madrid using its media arm to unsettle a player. Sir Alex won’t be happy about it and it will yet again open the wounds left gaping by previous attempts to ‘tap up’ his players by the La Liga side. Cristiano Ronaldo seems pretty happy at Old Trafford, i mean who wouldn’t be, but it seems that speculation of a move to the Bernabeu will continue to run. Do Man United fans see any glimmer of truth in this piece or is simply a tactic by the Spanish giants to try to entice their prized asset?
