Rafa looks to add yet another Spaniard to his squad!
Liverpool Football Club face a mighty battle if they renew their interest in David Silva.
The 23-year-old winger is the latest Spanish international to be linked with Rafael Benitez’s side, who are looking to add more quality to their squad in the summer.
It is believed the Reds manager will ask about the availability of the 23-year-old Valencia star at the end of the season, although he faces stiff competition.
Reports in Italy claim Juventus coach Claudio Ranieri is also keen on Silva, who is rated at a whopping £20million by the Mestalla club (fansfc.com)
David Silva is a top notch international who Valencia will be loathed to lose. But financial constraints will see the La Liga side have to sell one or more of their prized assets and therefore the vultures are circling the Mestalla and given Rafa’s links to the club he used to manage it makes sense that Liverpool are among those taking an interest even if relations with his former employers are frosty. Benitez will also be keen to add some widemen to his side. Ryan Babel is getting back to the quality he showed last season but is still not the finished article and whilst Dirk Kuyt has done well out on the right he is clearly not a natural when it comes to playing out wide. David Silva is adaptable and can play across the midfield and behind the striker and would be well worth the valuation on his head. Do Anfield fans like the idea of this buy?
