Manchester City to make £55m bid for MAGICAL TRIO!

Mark Hughes lines up some more Fantasy Football signings!

Manchester City are moving for Barcelona striker Thierry Henry.

The News of the World says chief executive Garry Cook has asked super-agent Pini Zahavi to do a deal to bring the Barcelona striker to Eastlands in time for next season.

The pair have been in contact this week and the City supremo needs a mega-deal to improve his standing in the eyes of the club’s Arab owners.

The Abu Dhabi group, who bought City last August, were unimpressed at not landing Brazil superstar Kaka despite bidding over £100million.

Henry, 31, has been in brilliant from for Barca after injury disrupted his first season at the Nou Camp. And he is thought to be keen on returning to England.

Barca have other players who would interest City. Yaya Toure has been spoken about and they also fancy striker Samuel Eto’o. (

So could City really land any of the three players named in this report? Well it’s possible. Yaya Toure could be a realistic prospect but it would be a huge coup if they landed either of the other two. Samuel Eto’o is strongly tipped to leave the Nou Camp in the summer but i would imagine he would be looking to secure a move to a club with Champions League football to offer and right now that is a big stumbling block for the Eastlands outfit. Also Thierry Henry is unlikely to leave Barcelona now that he is finally showing a return to the type of form that made him an Arsenal hero, i also very much doubt the Frenchman would return to the Premier League for anyone other than the Gunners. Who do Man City fans think the club could realistically land in the summer?
