Big spending City look to land Spurs flop.
Manchester City are planning a summer raid for Tottenham winger David Bentley.
The Sunday Mirror says City boss Mark Hughes has made the disillusioned Tottenham midfielder a priority target after having watched his career grind to halt following a £16million move from Blackburn last summer. Bentley is desperate to leave White Hart Lane and privately admits that the move has proved to be a disaster for him.

This could work out well for Harry. He obviously doesn’t see Bentley as part of his long term plans and in Mark Hughes’s Man City side he could well get back the lion’s share of the fee paid for the former Blackburn Rovers man last summer. The England man just hasn’t performed consistently when in a Spurs shirt and given the side is managing just fine without him it would be best for all concerned if he tried a new challenge elsewhere. Do any Tottenham fans think that the 24 year old still has a future at White Hart Lane?
