Capello is wrong to ask Manchester United’s ‘CRAZY MAN’ to calm down!

England coach Fabio Capello has described striker Wayne Rooney as “a crazy man” for his reaction to his recent dismissal against Fulham.

Capello singled out Rooney for a warning at a team meeting ahead of Saturday’s meeting with Slovakia.
“What were you doing punching the corner flag? You’re a crazy man, a crazy man,” he said.
The Manchester United man received a second yellow for throwing the ball in the direction of referee Phil Dowd.
The 23-year-old was infamously sent off in England’s 2006 World Cup defeat to Portugal, but has gone without a caution in his last five internationals.
Before Saturday’s indiscretion, for which he will miss United’s 5 April meeting with Aston Villa, Rooney had picked up only six bookings in the league this season.
It is thought that Capello has been concerned by a number of incidents involving members of his squad since the last time they met up. (BBC Sport)

Am i the only one who thinks that Wayne Rooney has in fact mellowed in the past 18 months? Yes he was silly for attacking the corner flag after being sent off but i have to admit, and i am no United fan, that he was unlucky to be given a second yellow card for throwing the ball back to his teammates. England manager Fabio Capello is right to be concerned about any members of his squad who have a short fuse but in many ways it’s Rooney’s temperament that is one of his biggest strengths. It’s his ability to harness the anger and desire he has which helps make him such an explosive performer, a player who can turn a game on its head with a flash of brilliance. I think the former Everton lad has been harshly treated on this occasion and that the media storm that has followed the incident at Craven Cottage has in many ways helped to fool many people into not seeing that the striker has already made great strides in curbing his temper. What do Man United fans think?
