Experienced striker being monitored by Tottenham boss.

Switzerland captain Alexander Frei claims Tottenham are interested in ending his three-year Borussia Dortmund nightmare.

He said: ‘The problem is that I’m not considered a starter. We have been approached by Napoli, PSG and Tottenham.’

The 29-year-old has scored 37 goals in 63 starts for his country making him the all-time top scorer of the Swiss national but injury has blighted his career in Germany even though he has averaged a goal every two games since joining Dortmund in 2006. (Daily Mail)

Quite why Harry would need another striker is beyond me but Frei could well suit the Premier League and it wouldn’t surprise me if a team that was in more need of a forward would make a move for the Swiss international. Given that White Hart Lane already has 3/4 top notch strikers on its books then i don’t see Redknapp making this move unless of course he was to choose to sell off some of the front men he already has.
