Arsenal 3-1 Manchester United: Prediction mania!

We are only hours away from the big battle!

The first leg was a bit of a damp squib and if was not for Manuel Almunia Arsenal would already be out of this tie but i fancy that with the inclusion of Robin Van Persie Arsene has a good shot at overcoming United tonight.

There were many Gunners players who really didn’t seem to have enough fight about them at Old Trafford and unless these players are replaced or up their game i don’t see them getting the upper hand. One such player is Emmanuel Adebayor, a player of obvious ability, who just seems to be very lazy and apparently not likely to be at the Emirates much longer.

Abou Diaby was similarly toothless in the first leg and in fact for much of the season and Arsene Wenger will need his men to be at their very best to a) prevent United from scoring (because if they do it will be one hell of a mountain to climb) and b) to get past the Rio and Vidic partnership at the back.

With RVP back in the fold acting as a catalyst i can see the north London side transferring their good league form into a Champions League victory.

P.S – Please note my correct 3-0 prediction for the Liverpool-Newcastle game, i guess i would get no brownie points for stating that i was sure that Joey Barton would get himself sent off, i am sure that anyone watching the game was merely counting down the minutes until that inevitable folly!
