(Daily Mail)

Oh yes there are some fine choices here. Some of these i had managed to wipe from my mind, perhaps as some sub-conscious attempt to protect my fragile state of mind. Who could forget What-a-mess (don’t remember the cartoon? CLICK HERE) lookalike Andres Silenzi, boy he was so bad he made strike partner Jason Lee look good.

Ali Dia was of course famous for persuading Graeme Souness that he was George Weah’s cousin and that he had played for Paris St Germain as well as at international level, none of which was true. Souness, the astute manager that he is, believed him and let him come on as sub for the great Matt Le Tissier, only for it to become abundantly clear just how crap he was and he was subbed himself 20 minutes later! The kind of story that will surely one day be made into a film!
