Top 50 Worst Premier League Signings Part Four

We’re getting ever closer!

The Daily Mail, who else, has been compiling a countdown list of the 50 worst signings in Premier League history and today they unveiled numbers 20-11! (it’s like an advent calendar, without the chocolate and the religion)

20 Harry Kewell (Leeds to Liverpool, £5m – 2003)

19 Corrado Grabbi (Ternana to Blackburn, £6.75m – 2001)

18 Afonso Alves (Heerenveen to Middlesbrough, £12m – 2008)

17 Albert Luque (Deportivo La Coruna to Newcastle, £9.5m – 2005)

16 Jean-Alain Boumsong (Rangers to Newcastle, £8m – 2005)

15 Eric Djemba-Djemba (Nantes to Man United, £3.5m – 2003)

14 Chris Sutton (Blackburn to Chelsea, £10m – 1999)

13 Kleberson (Atletico Paranaense to Man United, £6.5m – 2003)

12 Robbie Keane (Tottenham to Liverpool, £20.3m – 2008)

11 Marco Boogers (Sparta Rotterdam to West Ham, £750,000 – 1995) (Daily Mail)

Now there are some classics in this segment. Marco Boogers, the name just conjures up so many old memories doesn’t it! Newcastle take full responsibility for two players on this list. Albert Luque a player who arrived amid a fanfare and vanished in silence and who could forget Boumsong’s comical defending! Liverpool and Man United also get a double mention here!

So fellow fans of very very long lists, who is going to make it into the top ten?
