ROBIN VAN PERSIE’S talks over a new Arsenal deal remain deadlocked and if the situation is not resolved soon the club may cash in this summer.
A £70,000-a-week, four-year offer has been on the table for six months but Van Persie has continued to stall.
The offer doubles his pay but I understand the 25-year-old Dutchman’s advisor have been pushing for a deal closer to £90,000-a-week.
Incredibly, they also want a get out clause should Arsenal receive an offer of more than 5million euros from a foreign club.
Arsenal have kicked out that proposal but could lose Van Persie for nothing if he opts to run down the final year of his contract – just as Mathieu Flamini did last season.

This news, if it is indeed accurate, will be of great concern to Arsenal fans. For a while now contract talks between RVP and the club have been going back and forth and clearly we are nearing crunch time and given the club has again failed to claim any silverware this season it’s crucial that the club nails down the big names to long term contracts so as to avoid a mass exodus.
Robin Van Persie has started the season with a bang but has incredibly found the back of the net just once in Premier League action since Christmas but he is still the clubs best marksman and one wonders why the board is not just giving the Dutchman what he wants.
Luckily for the Gunners faithful the former Feyenoord man loves the club and wouldn’t pull a Flamini but if the Emirates outfit doesn’t act soon then many of the biggest teams in the world will happily come circling like vultures to snap up the talented front man.
Robin Van Persie to leave the club: It won’t happen as those in power at the club will surely realise just how key he is to Arsenal’s future success.
