The all new rumour reporting article system is in full effect!

The Rumour

Everton are eyeing former Manchester United winger Chris Eagles.

The Sun says Eagles will be become a target for Everton boss David Moyes if Burnley don’t win the Championship play-off final.

The Source: (The Sun as reported at Tribalfootball.com)

David Moyes and Sir Alex are good friends and it appears that the Toffees boss is looking to bring in yet another one of Man United’s cast offs. Having already brought in Tim Howard, Louis Saha and Phil Neville from the Old Trafford oufit Moyes has now decided to try to snap up Burnley midfielder and former United man Chris Eagles.

The 23 year old midfielder has had a great season at Turf Moor and has helped the club within 90 minutes of place in the Premier League but he may well feel the need to leave Owen Coyle’s side if they fail to beat Sheffield United at Wembley and a move to Goodison Park will surely tempt the player who spent five years under Sir Alex’s tutelage.

The Likelihood

Eagles to Everton: A move that could well become a reality should Burnley miss out on promotion.
