Spurs Chasing £17m Teen Sensation

The all new rumour reporting article system is in full effect!

The Rumour

Barcelona will review Bojan Krkic’s future at the end of the season, with Blackburn and Tottenham both reported to be chasing the forward.

The highly-rated 18-year-old has been linked with a loan move away from Barca for next term, with Rovers the latest club said to be keen on securing his signature.

But sporting director Txiki Beguiristain explained that the Primera Liga leaders will hold talks with manager Pep Guardiola before making a decision on Bojan.

He told “We have received calls asking about the situation of Bojan but it is still not decided.

“The opinion of Guardiola is the key.”

Bojan, who has also been linked with Spurs, Almeria and Deportivo, added: “I wish to stay at Barcelona because it is possible there will be chances.

“But I also want to speak with the club after the season finishes to clarify matters.”

The Analysis

Given what has happened to Giovani at White Hart Lane you would be forgiven for being surprised by this reported move for another Barcelona teenager but perhaps Harry Redknapp could pull off what would surely be one of the signings of the summer!

£17m rated Bojan has repeatedly assured the Catalan club that he has no intention of leaving the club but he is finding it very hard to get a regular spot in the team, which is unsurprising when you consider the world class stars ahead of him in the pecking order.

Giovani was loaned out to Ipswich and has actually benefited from the move to East Anglia and still has a future at Spurs but it’s still unclear just how much Redknapp rates the player brought in by his predecessor Juande Ramos. Krkic is a very talented individual and a player who is tipped for the very top but may well have to leave the Nou Camp to fulfill his potential and could a move to WHL be in the offing?
