The all new rumour reporting article system is in full effect!
Swansea have had a six figure bid for 20-year-old winger Paul Anderson accepted by Liverpool.
Swans chairman Huw Jenkins told the club’s official web site, “We have had a six-figure sum with Liverpool accepted. But I must stress that Paul is one of a number of options we are pursuing.
“Roberto (Martinez) has highlighted a number of players he is interested in and we have been pursuing them while he has been away scouting various players in various countries.
“The offer has been accepted by Liverpool, but it is still subject to us agreeing personal terms and Roberto sitting down with the player for further talks.
“Whoever we sign, we want players who want to play for Roberto and Swansea City. That attitude is vital – however good they are.”

Having seen Paul Anderson in action at both Swansea City and Nottingham Forest i have to say that i was mightily impressed with the wingers ability. The youngster is a pacy wide man who beats players with ease and whilst it’s true that he has been doing so at a lower league level i was always of the impression that he had the ability to push on and make the grade in the top tier.
Perhaps its a sign of the struggle that English born talent is having as a whole to break through ahead of signings from abroad and make it in the first team or perhaps Rafa just didn’t rate him that highly, either way i have read that a deal would more likely be in the £1m bracket for former England Under 18 international.
Anderson to Swansea: Sure to continue his footballing education at the Welsh club.
