Chelsea Hours from Announcing Ancelotti As New Boss

Experienced and successful manager heads to west London.

Carlo Ancelotti took a step closer to becoming Chelsea’s new manager after he announced his contract at AC Milan has been terminated by mutual consent.
But the Italian, who guided Milan to third in Serie A, said a move to Stamford Bridge had yet to be agreed.
He said: “I have agreed to leave Milan. The decision was by mutual consent. But a move to London is not certain yet.” (BBC Sport)

Well either Carlo knows something we don’t or he just quit his job without lining up another one, which would not be wise. Instead expect for a press conference any time soon which will see the Italian alongside the Chelsea representatives trying his hardest to communicate in English. To be honest I am not sure of Mr. Ancelotti’s bilingual capabilities but he is a very good manager who is looking for a new challenge after a long spell at the San Siro. In many ways he is the best choice available to the club right now and I think he will do very well indeed. Will he bring any AC Milan players with him to Stamford Bridge? Quite possibly although one of them will surely not be Kaka who now has good reason to push for his move to Real Madrid.
