The all new rumour reporting article system is in full effect!
Tottenham are chasing Liverpool winger Ryan Babel.
The Daily Star Sunday says Babel, 22, who moved to Anfield in 2007, cost Liverpool £11.5million as they saw off competition from Arsenal for the highly-rated youngster.
Babel has yet to establish himself as a regular member of the side and has become frustrated after being used mostly as a substitute.
The Dutch international has spoken of his disappointment with manager Rafa Benitez. The former Ajax star is also wanted by several Spanish clubs.
But he likes England and a switch to Spurs could be on the cards as Redknapp seems to have given up on England winger David Bentley.

If Harry Redknapp has indeed given up on David Bentley, and it does look that way, he then has two choices. He continues to play Luka Modric out wide on the left as he has been doing for the last weeks of the season just past or he opts for a player with natural width who is able to beat a man, and i guess that is where the rumour linking Ryan Babel to White Hart Lane originates.
Babel is a frustrating talent who after two years at Anfield has not really progressed and its time for Rafa or Ryan to make a difficult decision. Either the Dutchman is happy to play a cameo role from the bench for a third season in the hope he can prove to the Liverpool boss that he has what it takes to challenge for a starting berth or both parties bite the bullet and admit defeat…watch this space!
Babel to Tottenham: If a good offer comes along that is too good for either party to refuse then i feel the former Ajax man will leave with the boss’s blessing.
