Ferguson set to trim his massive squad.
Manchester United have placed a trio of their youngsters on the transfer list.
Sir Alex Ferguson has told Frazier Campbell, Danny Simpson and Darron Gibson that they are free to look for new clubs.
Ferguson hopes the sale of the trio will raise £10 million and Hull, who made repeated attempts to sign Campbell last summer, have already been in touch with United over the England Under-21 international.

This move is a tad surprising and not one I would have predicted. All three players mentioned have shown promise and potential. Frazier Campbell had a great season on loan at Hull two years back and last season did okay at Spurs proving that he was able to make the grade in the top tier. Danny Simpson similarly had a decent spell at Blackburn Rovers. The player that most surprises me to be included in a potential departure is Darron Gibson.
The 22 year old Irishman has always looked pretty good when he has figured for Man United. The battling midfielder never looked out of place among his superstar teammates when called into action and also has a knack of scoring long range efforts.
I guess the real issue is that Sir Alex has a huge squad which is almost 50 strong and he realises he needs to trim things but in my opinion he would do better to offload some of his under performing big names such as Nani, Ji Sung Park and of course injury victim Owen Hargreaves.
Trio to leave United: May opt to loan them out again rather than sell.
