Sir Alex looks to bring in steady cover for Van Der Sar.
FRANCE keeper Yohann Pele is on Manchester United’s wishlist.
The 6ft 5in Le Mans ace, 26, has attracted interest from the likes of Arsenal and Spurs.
But United boss Alex Ferguson is favourite to sign Pele, who is seen as the perfect understudy to Edwin van der Sar.

Sir Alex Ferguson clearly has a steady custodian in the form of Edwin Van der Sar, however at 38 he is clearly heading towards the Autumn of his career and it remains to be seen just how safe a replacement Man United have in the likes of Ben Foster and Thomas Kuszczak.
Foster had a great season on loan at Watford but hasn’t been supremely confident when called upon and the Polish stopper similarly doesn’t command the penalty area in the way he should. 26 year old Pele is a giant of a keeper who has been a big part of the success in recent season helping the side to two promotions to the top tier of the French league and a last gasp escape from the drop this last term.
Yohann is now part of the full senior French international set up and would be a good signing.
Pele to Man United: If Sir Alex did indeed bring in the Le Mans keeper he would surely need to offload one of his two back-ups first.
