Former player interested in Gunners reunion.
West Ham United defender Matthew Upson is ready to delay his decision whether to leave Upton Park this summer.
The News of the World says it looks as though England defender Upson will be tempted by Manchester City – though he is still waiting to see if Arsenal come in for him.

You could make a very decent starting eleven of player Arsene Wenger has decided were not good enough for a regular spot at Arsenal and whilst most of the players the Frenchman has decided to offload were indeed not up to scratch he may well consider a move to resign this former Gunners man as a good decision.
Matthew Upson was one of Arsene’s first signings at the club but in six years he racked up just 20 League starts and decided to try and make a name for himself elsewhere and he has managed to carve out a very good career for himself first at Birmingham and now at West Ham but with a World Cup on the horizon he has made it clear he feels he needs to look for a move upwards, preferably to a Champions League level club, in order to cement his place in the England set-up and to challenge the established pairing of John Terry and Rio Ferdinand.
Given that the Emirates side urgently need some solid figures at the back, especially with William Gallas and Mikel Silvestre rumoured to be on their way out, Upson could well be a good call.
Upson to Arsenal: The centre back appears to be ready to turn down the mega bucks offer from Man City in favour of a move back to north London and Mr. Wenger really would do well to make a bid.
