Here we go again!
SPURS can finally land Middlesbrough’s Stewart Downing for £12million.
The clubs have argued over the England winger, 24, for almost a year.
But Boro’s managing director Keith Lamb said: “It wouldn’t be the easiest of negotiations but I’d take their call.”

If I was a Spurs fan I would be extremely happy about the sight of Daniel Levy in Madrid eying up some quality talent but then equally appalled that he is seemingly still chasing Stewart Downing! Why oh why is this happening? Harry Redknapp can’t really be considering ploughing good money for the Middlesbrough winger.
I do not think there have been many more overrated Premier League players than the ludicrously one footed England international and any time he is linked to a certain club I feel instant pity for that club’s supporters. It’s not that I don’t think the 24 year old is decent, he is, he just isn’t worth all this fuss.
Every season he is linked with a big side and it never happens and that is not down to his unflinching loyalty to the Riverside club I can assure you. He probably has one hell of an agent who sings his praises to all and sundry and then sits back and watches as yet another season starts with the left winger at the north east club again!
Downing to Spurs: I sincerely believe he will not join any Premier League team who has top half aspirations and will in all likelihood remain at Boro.
