Oh Sweet Jesus!
Despite reports suggesting that Arsenal striker Emmanuel Adebayor was set to reject a move to AC Milan, the Italian club still seem ready to make an offer for the player, according to The Mirror.
The Serie A club are now, according to the British tabloid, ready to offer £20 million in cash as well as defensive midfielder Mathieu Flamini in exchange for the Togolese striker.
The offer, if made, would no doubt interest Gunners boss Arsene Wenger, who is in desperate need of a battling central midfielder, and could welcome Frenchman Flamini back to the club.

I have to admit I did a double take when I read about this, could it really be based in reality? It’s in The Mirror so who knows! It would be a neat trick by Arsene Wenger, if he can pull it off, to resolve one troublemaking problem with a troublemaking problem from the past.
Flamini’s move to AC Milan was a particularly unspeakable act, seeing as he had continually stated he wouldn’t do to Arsenal what he did to Marseille, i.e. running out his contract and then leaving even though he had pledged his loyalty and love for the club earlier. He had his best season at the club in his final year of contract, he did the same think at the Stade Venodome, coincidence, probably.
Anyway he is the type of player Arsenal desperately need and if they fail to complete the deal to bring in impressive Brazilian Felipe Melo, then it’s a move that makes sense from a footballing perspective, however how will the fans take such a move?
