Mathieu Valbuena: Seems to have a fashion sense akin to Cristiano!

The Rumour

Liverpool and Wigan are chasing Marseille ace Mathieu Valbuena, understands.

Valbuena is a target for a host of clubs across Europe as doubts grow over his long-term future at Stade Velodrome.

The Analysis

24 year old Valbuena is a promising attacking midfielder who Liverpool fans remember as scoring a wonderful strike against them in the UEFA Champions League a couple of years back. The impressive diminutive Frenchman can play in a number of midfield positions and is very comfortable on the ball and Rafa may see him as a good squad player.

He is on the verge of his first French international cap and is clearly, via his agent, declaring his interest in a move to England. He wouldn’t be an earth shattering signing but could be the kind of intelligent buy that helps the club cope with an inevitable 50+ game season.

Anyone wishing to see the likeness in fashion sense between Valbuena only need to see the pic above or indeed do a Google search. Still a good player though.
