Arsenal Set for Incredible £60m Troublemaker Bid

Gunners striker gets the pay packet he believes he is worth of!

The Rumour

MANCHESTER CITY are on the brink of completing a stunning £25million swoop for Emmanuel Adebayor.
Arsenal’s Togo striker will be offered a five-year deal at Eastlands worth around £130,000 per week.

That all adds up to a staggering £60m investment.

City boss Mark Hughes moved quickly after pulling out of the race for Barcelona’s Samuel Eto’o.

City’s opening offer for Adebayor fell around £5m short but they are willing to agree a compromise to get the hitman, 25.

The Analysis

Whilst Man City may have money to burn they may want to re-think they’re crazy wage offerings otherwise they will go bust inside a year, as for Emmanuel Adebayor, well he got just what he wanted, more money.

As mercenary footballers go, the Arsenal man is pretty much near the top of the pile. After one good season he demanded a huge pay hike from Wenger, and the boss rightly told him to wait and as a result the Togolese striker tried to engineer a move to AC Milan, it failed but left a bad taste in the mouths of all Gunners fans but now he is getting the pay packet he dreamed of, but it would be fairly hilarious if he found himself unable to get a regular run in the team given the huge amount of quality strikers at the club!

It should be interesting to see the reaction he will get when he next visits the Emirates, my guess would be that he will be mysteriously injured for that one!

The Likelihood

Adebayor to Man City: Seems pretty close to completion.
