Yes, it’s a bastardization of a famous Mrs Merton quote but it does seem strangely apt. England international Peter Crouch isn’t exactly a looker and if I was feeling particularly nasty I would describe him as a lanky beanpole with a Skeletor face, so how the hell then did he manage to convince the woman below, Abigail Clancy, to get engaged to him? Could it be that he is a famous footballer with money to burn or am I just being very cynical?
