Money mad striker can’t decide which pay packet to take!

The Rumour

Manchester City are furious with Emmanuel Adebayor after the Arsenal striker’s advisers attempted to engineer a move to Chelsea on Friday night.
Sportsmail revealed earlier this week that Adebayor was offered to neighbours Manchester United when talks with City over personal terms of £170,000 a week looked to be in danger of collapse.
There were indications yesterday that he was finally ready to agree a move to City and head up to Manchester for a medical. But the club were amazed to discover that the Togo forward has been touted to Chelsea as he continues to stall on a £25million move to Eastlands.

The Analysis

It appears that Emmanuel Adebayor is not content with having just one set of fans hate him with a vengeance he now wants to anger Man City by trying to worm his way into a move to Stamford Bridge, despite having already passed a medical at Eastlands.

The Arsenal man had said he wanted more time before signing the deal to make him yet another Mark Hughes striker, what he actually meant was “I want to see if any other clubs are dumb enough to sign me”. I am sure that Carlo Ancelotti will opt against completing the deal because he must be aware of just how much of a mercenary the Togolese international is!

I really do pity the side that forks out £25m for a player who essentially had one really good season off the back of some great approach work from his Gunners teammates. Not one single Emirates fan will lose any sleep over his departure in fact they would probably gladly help him pack and give him a lift to whichever club stumps up the cash. Good luck suckers!

The Likelihood

Adebayor to Man City/Chelsea: Will surely end up on the bench next to Craig Bellamy!
