Wenger rids the club of troublesome mercenary and immediately sets about capturing another front man.
ARSENAL are poised to make a £10million bid for Bordeaux’s striker Marouane Chamakh to replace Emmanuel Adebayor.
And the Moroccan is keen on a move to the Premier League. Chamakh, 25, said: “I want to play in England and Arsenal is my dream, although that doesn’t mean I dismiss the other clubs who have expressed an interest in me.
“I know I am one of two or three players Arsenal are interested in to replace Adebayor. My wish is that Bordeaux do not ask silly money for me.”

Now that troublemaker and all round tosser Emmanuel Adebayor has gone to seek his fortune (if not his fame) at Man City, Arsene Wenger is likely to push on and plan a long anticipated raid for this impressive Bordeaux forward.
Marouane Chamakh is a player that the Arsenal boss admires a lot and considers him a like for like replacement for the Togolese player and perhaps more importantly not a very pricey one at that. The Moroccan helped Laurent Blanc’s side to the French title last term but is still very much keen on a move to join the north London club and it appears only a fee stands in the way of the move being completed.
Chamakh to Arsenal: Only a matter of time.
