Arsenal Offered £6m Tottenham Striker: Is It Worth Wenger Considering?

Not bloody likely!

The Rumour

Tottenham have offered Roman Pavlyuchenko to Arsenal, it has been revealed.

Russia’s Tvoi Den says Spurs have offered Pavlyuchenko to their arch-rivals for just £6million.

Pavlyuchenko wants to stay in London because he bought a house following his £13.8m move from Spartak Moscow last summer, rather than renting like Arsenal’s Andrey Arshavin.

The Analysis

This is a tad unlikely but what the hell, let’s discuss it anyway! Roman Pavyluchenko is not Harry Redknapp’s cup of tea apparently and a host of clubs have inquired about the Russian without putting a solid bid. The likes of Roma and Stuttgart were said to be close to capturing the former Spartak Moscow man but nothing appears to have come of this speculation.

The idea that Tottenham would actively offer the forward, regardless of what they might think of him, to Arsenal is mindboggling. Apart from anything else, would Wenger even consider such a deal? Even though Emmanuel Adebayor has left the club isn’t urgently in need of another striker as they have a few top notch ones at the club anyway.

The Likelihood

Pavyluchenko to Arsenal: No way!
