Could well turn out to be one hell of a bargain!
Tottenham are weighing up a move for winger Martin Petrov and are closing in on a deal for Portsmouth striker Peter Crouch.
Manchester City’s Petrov, 30, made a successful comeback from a knee ligament injury at the end of last season.
Spurs could prise him away for around £5million.

Having already got one of the best right wingers in the Premier League in the shape of vastly improved England man Aaron Lennon, Harry Redknapp appears to want to resolve his issues on the left and after wisely opting to not chase up Stewart Downing he appears to have outlined this Bulgarian instead.
The 30 year old Man City man is hugely experienced and when he first appeared on the scene at Eastlands he was a force to be reckoned with and struck fear into opposition defences with his old fashioned style and pace but then a long term injury set him back and now it appears Mark Hughes doesn’t rate him all that highly.
Even though Petrov is getting on a bit he showed during his comeback towards the end of last season that he still had the tricks and speed to be a worthwhile addition and if he can be purchased for just £5m then he would be one hell of a bargain.
Petrov to Tottenham: Was previously a target of the north London club and now could well be the right time to put in a bid.
