Wenger considers raiding his arch-rivals!
ARSENAL are planning a £7million swoop for Chelsea’s Salomon Kalou.
Gunners boss Arsene Wenger sees the 23-year-old young African Player of the Year as the ideal replacement for Emmanuel Adebayor, following his £25million move to Manchester City.
Adebayor’s sale leaves Arsenal light up front, especially as injury-hit Croatian striker Eduardo is still sidelined and Samir Nasri is also out for six weeks with a broken leg.

Saloman Kalou was linked with a move to Arsenal last summer and Arsene Wenger even admitted to having a liking for the adaptable Ivorian but it was a deal that didn’t really seem to make sense to me then and makes less sense now.
The 23 year old Chelsea man is a decent player and can take up a number of attacking positions but to me he doesn’t seem that great a player, if he was he would surely warrant far more playing time at Stamford Bridge where he only seems to get a look in when others are injured or suspended. That said he is something of an impact player but would surely be no more than a squad player if he were to make the move from west to north London.
Would Carlo Ancelotti consider selling any of his players to a direct rival, I think not. However if he could be signed for £7m then that would be a decent investment as long as the player was aware of the likelihood of warming the bench for long periods.
Kalou to Arsenal: Don’t see it happening.
