Arsenal striker Robin van Persie should return from a knee injury but Russian playmaker Andrey Arshavin remains sidelined by a groin problem.
Manuel Almunia is still suffering from a chest infection so young keeper Vito Mannone is set to continue in goal.
Wigan boss Roberto Martinez has a full-strength squad available and could name the same team that beat West Ham 1-0.
Olivier Kapo made his comeback from a knee injury on Tuesday, netting for the reserves against Manchester City.

After our great comeback in Belgium we should be buzzing as a unit right now. Perhaps more importantly that win in Liege came off the back of two dispiriting performances in Manchester and we needed to get our confidence back on an even keel and coming back from two goals down after just five minutes is something that should have pleased Wenger.
Mannone gets to start another game and he was not to blame for either goal midweek and looked relatively calm and commanding between the sticks. I would hope that we can break down the Latics at home and hopefully Van Persie will be back for the game and firing on all cylinders.
My Prediction: 2-0 to Arsenal, hoping for first Premier League clean sheet of the season.
