Sulley pours cold water on potential Premier League move.
“I have not heard anything about this transaction, I honestly don’t know anything about it,” Muntari told Sky Sport 24 as he left Appiano Gentile on Thursday.
“I only know that I am an Inter player. All my energies are devoted to this team because I am under contract with them.
“Therefore, it is pointless to talk about other sides. Would I enjoy going back to England? I am settled in Italy.” (Sky Sports 24)
This doesn’t necessarily mean this deal is dead in the water but it does mean that Harry may not be able to just waltz in and whisk his former Portsmouth man back to the Premier League. Sulley definitely isn’t happy about not being a regular first team starter at the Serie A champions and perhaps this could act as a wake up call to Jose Mourinho and make the “Special One” sit up and take notice.
Come January things may become more clearer on this issue, but then of course Muntari will be off to the African Nations Cup, so a move to White Hart Lane may well be put on the back burner until next summer.
Either way he would be a great addition to an already fast improving Spurs midfield.
