Redknapp eyes up swap deal.
Tottenham are ready to use Roman Pavlyuchenko as bait in a bid to finally bring Klass-Jan Huntelaar to White Hart Lane.
Huntelaar was targeted by Harry Redknapp over the summer but the Dutch striker moved to Milan after failing to agree wages with the London club.
Since moving to Italy the 26-year-old has struggled for form and he could be sold in January with Rossoneri boss Leonardo looking to freshen up his squad. (Yahoo/Eurosport)
Harry Redknapp loves to shop doesn’t he. You just know that even though he has swung the club around and they are now wowing all and sundry the Tottenham boss is still looking at ways to improve the club whilst hoping that Daniel Levy continues to fund his intelligent moves into the transfer market.
Does this deal make much sense though? There is no doubting that Klaas Jan Huntelaar on his day is a world class striker, he proved it at Real Madrid in the short space of time he was on the pitch but at the San Siro things have gone pretty appallingly.
However Roman Pavlyuchenko is no slouch either and he simply can’t get in the team because of the sterling efforts of Robbie Keane and Jermain Defoe and it doesn’t help that when Peter Crouch is named he has performed pretty damn well. So won’t Harry just be replacing one bench warmer for another?
