Football - West Ham United v Middlesbrough Barclays Premier League

My first post will be about who Liverpool should buy during the transfer window because this is a critical point in our season and it’s a time that Rafa must not!! Mess up.

To begin with I personally believe we need a left winger as Aurelio is unreality a left-back as although he has a venomous left foot, he doesn’t have the pace which I find is essential for the left wing role. This is the exact same problem with Riera who is better at the left wing role but is inconsistent and so that makes him unreliable to give us a great game. Another position which is infuriating me is the second striker role. Rafa had so many second strikers in his reign as Liverpool boss but his lack of faith and his infamous rotation plans had pushed them out of the club and them players are now doing very well at other clubs e.g. Craig Bellamy. At this precise moment in time who wouldn’t want Peter Crouch to hold the ball up to help Torres get into Space to slot the ball into the net at the Kop end? Or the pace of Bellamy who can beat of defenders, pass well and can score goals himself.

Before I say who I think Liverpool should buy let me explain that although I would like to have a left winger and a striker there is absolutely no way we will be getting both because we haven’t got enough money and can you really see Rafa buying both? Because I can’t.

Second strikers:

Carlton Cole: He was at first my ideal choice because he is good in the air and can score goals but at the 15-20 millions price tag I would look at other targets.

Pavlyuchenko: The Russian is undeniably a good player and in Euro 2008 he proved his worth and at 12 million seems to be an okay buy and can be used as lone striker aswell. One problem though is if he can’t get games at Tottenham I can’t see him getting game at Liverpool.

Adriano: This would be the bargain of the transfer window! His contract has expired making him really cheap or even free and is scoring goals for fun in Brazil but his Attitude is a problem but that aside I personally think this would be a deal worth getting.

Ruud van Nistelrooy: This is great….if you want to laugh on a rainy day. I don’t want this to happen as he is an ex Manc and he is very old…need I say more.

Left wingers:

Mata: the only left winger for the moment which springs to mind and one of us Liverpool fans most wanted players. (Silva is another possibility but we have no money so we can scratch that Idea) Mata is at 22 million last time I checked so if we sell our unwanted players and get 10 mill of the owner’s then maybe…..just maybe we could get this guy.

In conclusion I think Adriano would be a massive boost as he is great and also very cheap so we could also get another great player in the transfer window aswell but with Mata slightly out of reach I just can’t think of another left winger… to everyone who uses this site, what left winger should we buy or who should we buy who I forgot to mention?
