Two Emirates strikers continue to display their international credentials with nice displays of finishing in last nights friendlies.
Nicklas Bendtner started the season very well and surprised some by being able to play competently for Arsenal out wide but then the giant Danish international got sidelined with an injury but returned in late January to help the Gunners cope with a severe lack of striking talent due to an injury crisis.
A regular for the national team the 22 year old will be looking to further his progress at the upcoming World Cup and with fine headers like this one against Austria he will take some stopping.
Carlos Vela finds himself a little further down the Emirates pecking order but is clearly a talented flair player who has an oustanding record when representing the Mexican national team. After four years at Arsenal 21 year old has still managed just one Premier League start but will hope that he can persuade Arsene Wenger to give him more of a chance in the first team. His fine run and finish in last night’s friendly against New Zealand showed his calm and composed nature when through on goal something that could well be of use at the north London club.
