Premier League: Chelsea 2 v 4 Manchester City

Carlos Tevez insists he did not square up to John Terry as a result of the Chelsea captain’s alleged affair with Wayne Bridge’s ex-girlfriend.

“I didn’t fight with Terry because of that,” Tevez is quoted in The Sun.

“I fought with him because he took me by the shirt and I didn’t like it. I became furious with him because of that.”

Tevez added: “It’s complicated to say something about what Terry did to Bridge.

“I don’t think you can do that with the wife of another player.

“It’s wrong. In my opinion, Terry has no moral code for what he did to Bridge.

“In my neighbourhood if you do that, you lose your legs, or more – you don’t survive.”

The former Manchester United frontman also revealed that he has ‘always had problems’ with Chelsea midfielder Michael Ballack, who picked up a second yellow card for a foul on Tevez.

He continued: “I have always had problems with Ballack but, you know, it is just football, not personal issues between us.

“I don’t know, maybe he doesn’t like me, as I don’t like him.

“On the field, I have never understood what he is saying to me, but I am sure he didn’t understand me either.” (Sky Sports)

Whoa, things must have been tough where Carlos grew up. One can only wonder what punishment is handed down to someone stealing lollipops from the local newsagents, having ones eyes removed with a spoon perhaps?

Also it seems that a language barrier is preventing a lasting friendship forming between Tevez and Michael Ballack. I am pretty sure that the German international is only trying to strike up a conversation whilst pursuing him during their tussles, unfortunately the Argentine is taking his advances as something of a threat. This is how wars begin!

So there you have it. Manchester City striker Carlos Tevez thinks John Terry shouldn’t “survive” and that Ballack “doesn’t like him”. If only they could all just sit down and talk about it, they would surely get on like a house on fire. Also does “you don’t survive” mean you will be killed or is this perhaps an abstract statement that I can’t quite get my head around.

Heaven knows what the punishment would be if Carlito returned home and found Mr. Ballack in bed with his missus!
